‘Dirty Every Day’: 1972 Grand Wagoneer Is a Collector’s Dream

Dirty Wagoneer

I’m inclined to think that some people just have the lucky hand of the draw in finding great barn finds.

Sure, I know, most will tell you that there’s an art to tracking down those classic cars, that’s filled with long, endless hours of phone calls and research. But then again, I’m sure others will tell you it’s all about being at the right place at the right time.

Take, for example, Fred, the host of Motor Trend’s “Dirt Every Day” web series, who stumbled upon this 1972 Wagoneer that’s been parked for 13 years in a garage. Granted, Fred certainly has an edge over most of us Jeep lovers, who typically have to rely on second- or third-hand information to collect on a gem like this. Fred just had one of his many friends turn him on to the Jeep.

Still, can you imagine how many calls and emails the Motor Trend host gets from people claiming they have some one-of-a-kind find? So it still requires a bit of luck not to miss out on a gem.

One thing’s for certain though, it’s clear that Fred enjoyed every minute of getting this Jeep collectible road ready and off-road ready. Well, sort of, as highlighted in the full “Dirty Every Day” episode featured below.
