Considering how many Wranglers we stumble upon here at JK-Forum, we’ve pretty much seen it all when it comes to modifying the signature Jeeps. Still, amid all the wild and crazy stuff, sometimes it’s the more subtle things about a custom Wrangler that grab our attention.

Take, for example, this 1994 YJ project from our friends at Four Wheeler. If the name “Big Mini” doesn’t get you, then seeing those 40-inch tires fitted on the Jeep should at least pique your interest. Below are five other things we love about Big Mini.

1. Instead of the typical four-cylinder engine, the Wrangler is fitted with a V-8 from a cop car.

2. To accommodate those 40-inch tires, the team at Four Wheeler beefed up the suspension on the Big Mini, but they were still were able to maintain the Jeep’s low profile.

3. The Wrangler’s brakes feature a hydroboost system from Vanco Power Brake Supply.

4. That cool paint job was a collaborative four-day project among friends.

5. While Big Mini is certainly a YJ at heart, it also features parts from a TJ, including both a soft top and roll cage from the later model Jeep.
