Jeep Ad Offers a Different Position on Crazy World of Politics

Here’s an idea: maybe we should just leave it to Jeep to solve all the divisiveness in the world.

After all, the brand is known for bringing people together from various backgrounds. You need look no further than the “My Jeep Story” campaign to attest to that. The campaign — launched this year in honor of Jeep’s 75th Anniversary — features Jeep owners from all walks of life, coming together to celebrate their love for the brand, rather than focusing on their differences. And if there’s one thing that can use a few tips on coming together for a common cause, it’s America’s political scene.

That certainly seems to be the point of the new Jeep “Free to Be” TV spot below. The ad is aimed at highlighting the Parallel Park Assist system on the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and Summit. But to drive the point home, it shows two people placing different political party stickers on their Jeep’s bumper, with the tag “How to Position Yourself Between Two Sides.”

Sure, I imagine some might think the spot is a bit too political, but I happen to think it’s pretty clever. What about you?
