The Top-Seven Jeep Essentials

No matter who you are, there are certain essential things you need to get after you purchase a Jeep. If you don’t acquire them, all the other Jeep owners will make fun of you and not let you play on their trails.

Don’t worry, though. Here’s a helpful list of things you should pick up after you bring your next Jeep home.

1. A better set of rims. The ones you see above are just an inch bigger than standard, but they change the whole aesthetic of the vehicle. I’d say if you want to hit trails and areas that have rocks, though, go with some good beadlock rims. They’ll save you a hell of a lot of time and money.

2. A winch. It’s just necessary. Don’t argue.

3. Rubber floor mats. You’ll go through mud. You’ll track it into the cabin. You’ll hate carpet after that happens the first time.

4. Tires. No, not all-season performance slicks. A good, solid set of BFGoodrich tires will work just fine.

5. An off-road jack. Even with beadlock rims and good rubber, you might puncture a tire. A stock jack will not work in off-road situations. Trust me.

6. A snorkel. It looks cool and, in case of the zombie apocalypse, it will help you ford streams — something zombies can’t do.

7. A Hannibal rack. It’s where you keep your stuff. It comes in handy because your rig doesn’t exactly have a trunk.

That’s pretty much it. Sure, there’s a whole parts catalog you can throw at your Jeep, but these are really the essentials. Plus, they’ll make you look cool, and you know you want to look cool.

If you’re searching for more gear to add, though, head over to the forum and check out all the neat stuff everyone else has put on their Jeeps.
