2016 Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT

All the executives at FCA seem to be making dreams come true this week at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Earlier, FCA’s CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed that there would be a Jeep pickup truck shortly after the launch of the new Wrangler, and that that vehicle would be built alongside the Wrangler in Toledo. Now, we have confirmation from Mike Manley that a Hellcat Grand Cherokee is on the way.

Mr. Manley, who has the most appropriate name for a Jeep executive ever, was asked straight up if he could put a Hellcat motor in the Grand Cherokee. “Not only can put a Hellcat motor in one of those for you,” stated Manley, “I’m going to bring that to market for you by 2017.”

The reporter asking the question seems almost shocked that he got the answer he was looking for. “Really?” he asks. “Yes, just for you,” replies Manley.

Boom! There you have it. Folks, I don’t believe that it’s going to get any clearer than that. There’ll be a Hellcat Jeep and it’ll be on sale by 2017.
