When it comes to sales, it’s clear that there’ s just no beating Jeep.

In fact, the brand is credited with helping Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) post record earnings for the first quarter of 2016 — to the tune of $539 million in net income. The company’s global net revenue jumped 3% to $30 billion, despite a weak showing in Asia and Latin America, according to an Automotive News report.

During the period, overall Jeep sales climbed 15% to 326,000 units, thanks in large part to the brand’s global expansion.

Leading the charge are models like the Cherokee and the new Renegade, both of which have become pivotal players in Jeep’s global expansion strategy. We expect that trend to grow even more in the years to come, as the company continues to build its worldwide sales and manufacturing network.

After all, it’s become clear that Jeep is the backbone of FCA.
