New Jeep Pickup Truck Still Up in the Air

It seems we might have jumped the gun here at JK-Forum getting excited about a new Jeep pickup truck.

Mark Allen, Jeep’s design head, says there’s still a lot to consider before moving forward with the idea, as highlighted in a recent LeftLaneNews report. The biggest roadblock appears to be deciding exactly what the pickup will look like. One guess is that it will look like the vehicle we’ve rendered above for your amusement. There’s also the issue of whether the Jeep should be based on the new upcoming Wrangler, or a completely different platform like the Fiat Toro, which is the basis for our rendering above.

Then, of course, there’s the question of where to build it.

“We sell every Wrangler we make, there’s no extra room at the plant, so there are other issues beyond the vehicle itself. That’s all gotta be sorted out,” explained the executive in an interview.
