The annual Easter Jeep Safari is almost upon us, and for those who aren’t going to be able to make it to Moab this year, we’ve collected all the details on what Jeep is bringing to its annual Easter bash. They’re definitely busting out the big guns this year.
First off, we have the Jeep Chief. According to Jeep, they put Dana 44 axles both front and rear, a two-inch lift, and coupled this gorgeous body with a Pentastar V6 and a manual transmission.
Next up we have the Jeep Wrangler Africa, which has been lifted four inches, stretched a full 12 inches, and has some righteous steel wheels and jerry cans. It’s ready to conquer the heart of darkness.
Next is the Red Rock Responder. Basically, if you get in trouble out on the trails, this is the Jeep you call to get your butt out of the sticky situation. It has built-in winches, off-road tire jacks, bead-locked tires and a bunch of other cool stuff to help you out of a jam.
Then we have the unfortunately named, Jeep Staff Car. While I understand what Jeep was going for with the whole look and feel of this WWII-esque modified Wrangler, the name Staff Car has a few German intonations that might just be better left unsaid.
For all of you who would like a bit more plush in their off-roading adventures, Jeep debuted the Grand Cherokee Overlander complete with integrated winch, chunky wheels and tires, and a pop-up tent on the roof. It’s ready for all your overlanding expeditions.
The second-to-last Jeep that will be showing up in Moab is the Renegade Desert Hawk, which looks like it had a few Jeep parts thrown at it and got painted a sandy color. Not much has been changed.
Lastly, Jeep brought out the Jeep Cherokee Canyon Trail, which looks to be a magnified image of the Renegade Desert Hawk we just showed you. Yeah, the first few were way cooler Jeeps.
That completes the lineup of what Jeep will be bringing to this year’s Easter Jeep Safari. Are any of you heading out to Moab to join them? If so, sound off in the comments below and maybe meet up with some of your comrades from the forum.
