It was an amazing race and finish for the Smittybilt Every Man Challenge.

Though we’ve gotten used to his winning ways, John Currie wasn’t driving the number 4588 Savvy Off Road/Currie in the 4500 Rubicon Express Mod Class. Instead, his son, Brandon Currie, kept the family legacy alive by taking the win and the overall in the EMC.

It’s a huge legacy to follow, considering that John won class and overall for three years in the Smittybilt Every Man Challenge, the stock and mod class race at the King of the Hammers in Johnson Valley, CA. Now that John has moved up to the big leagues, Brandon Currie has taken the reigns of the 4588 Savvy Off Road/Currie Rubicon Express Mod Class rig.

With a proven chassis, the win still didn’t come easy, as Currie battled Ben Napier from Australia for the overall and was less than five-minutes behind at the end of the day. However, Brandon proved his mettle and took it in the end, just like his daddy taught him to do.
