Lizard Jeep Fire

A Pet Lizard’s Safety After a Wrangler Fire Sparks Quite the Interesting Twitter Commentary

We’ve stumbled upon some pretty interesting Jeep escapes here at JK Forum. But never have we come across one quite as wild as this story about a JK driver and his pet lizard escaping a fire on I-84 in Massachusetts.

Lizard Finds Stardom After Escaping Jeep Fire

Yep, you read that right – a pet lizard that officially goes by the name of “Buri,” to be exact.

Apparently, Buri’s safety was a pretty big deal following the fire, which prompted an interesting series of tweets about the Jeep accident. Interestingly, most the tweets were centered on the lizard’s safety, and not the pet’s owner.

One of the first tweets was from the Massachusetts State Police. It included a couple of lizard emojis, with the caption “Driver and pet lizard were not injured.”

Another tweet shared by officer Dustin Fitch provided a further update on Buri’s status. He noted that the lizard was safe and sound in his tank, awaiting a ride back home.

Of course, it all sparked more than a few interesting comments from others as well.

“…Guess not a good day to drive with your lizard. Lol,” tweeted one person. To which the Massachusetts State Police responded, “Caring for all including the cold blooded.”

Another person commented, “You guys are so poorly underrated. Fantastic you care for all.”

There was, however, one person who expressed some more specific concern for the Wrangler, commenting, “RIP @Jeep – always hate to see this.”

Us too.

No word yet on what actually caused the Jeep fire. We’re just glad everyone’s okay.
