High school graduation is a huge milestone. It is the first step into true adulthood, and aside from getting a driver’s license, it’s one of the most freeing things that will happen to anyone in their teenage years. One very loving father decided that he wanted to give his daughter the ultimate present of a new Jeep for the big occasion. But rather than grab a new one off the lot, this enterprising individual decided to build one. With a totaled 2008 he grabbed at an insurance auction, JK Forum member marmed completely dismantled, painted, and rebuilt a Franken-Jeep in just a week and a half.

Seriously. He hacked, welded, painted, modified, and reassembled a Jeep in less time than it took me to put laminate flooring in half of my house. To be fair, he owns a body shop and has a team to help, but it’s still damned impressive.

Obviously, with such a tight time frame, the build diary for this project is a bit sparse, but in the thread he created, marmed was still able to give us plenty of photos of the progress. He started with the majority of a yellow JK, and the rear ¾ of a silver JK. From there he moved to custom wheels that were painted to match, new aftermarket bumpers, new axles, and more.

In just nine days the Jeep went from pieces to a solid machine, and it was ready to gift to his daughter on her big occasion. Bravo, marmed, that little lady is lucky to have a father like you.
