Maybe Democrats should pick up a Wrangler as a spokesperson

It appears there might be one good takeaway for the Democrats in this past midterm shellacking. Nothing better sells Americans on the idea that you might have their best interests at heart than owning a Jeep Wrangler.

Just ask Tom Wolf who went from practically a no-name businessman to winning the Pennsylvania Governor’s seat, thanks in large part to his 2006 Wrangler. The Democratic candidate made his Jeep a key part of his campaign strategy, driving the vehicle miles and miles across Pennsylvania to reach out to voters.

Now Wolf will be parking that Wrangler at the Governor’s mansion after defeating Republican incumbent Tom Corbett at the polls.

Looking to stay true to his blue-collar theme, Wolf, a first-time political candidate, has even decided to forgo the $187,256 salary as the state’s chief executive, according to numerous reports.

Come to think about it, maybe there’s a message in Wolf’s strategy for both Republicans and Democrats alike. That being, if you really want to connect to the people, try thinking like a Jeep owner and have a little heart and soul.
