Nicknames and Hood Vinyls: One More Reason the JK Is Awesome

I have named almost every vehicle I have ever owned. I am not sure why, but I just always felt like my machines needed names. They felt like more than piles of metal and rubber, they felt like living entities. So I named them. A lot of Jeep owners tend to feel the same way about their Jeeps, and there are thousands of Wranglers out there with their own special nicknames. Unlike most other cars though, the JK comes with a built in name-tag location right across the side of the hood. Instead of seeing the model designation, many buyers have opted to apply new vinyls that really show of the characteristics of their particular JK.

We actually have an entire thread devoted to the topic, and it was started way back in 2011. The thread sat dead for a while, but recently there has been some good action, and all of us here at the office decided it would be fun to feature some of the great names you all have for your rides.

If you haven’t posted in the thread yet, and your Jeep has a special name, get in there and let us know. If you need a vinyl, start searching around the threads, I promise there is at least one person out there who can get you set up without breaking the bank. The JK Forum community is pretty rad like that.
