Opposite Day? Nope, Just a Slammed Rat Rod Jeep CJ

This rat rod Jeep CJ particularly appeals to me. But that’s okay, because I know my style is a bit eccentric. Check this thing out though. In terms of pure mechanical simplicity, it doesn’t get much better than this. If it has a function, it’s on display. I like the fact that more attention was given to the brake booster than the actual seats. Although there is one thing I’m not too fond of, and that’s the name. The seller calls it the Testabassa. Which I’m guessing is an attempt to roughly translate “low roof.” But thanks to air bag suspension, this Jeep isn’t rendered to scraping on twigs.

The now-ended eBay ad listed it at $65,000 for a “buy it now” price, which was a bit optimistic. Even a starting bid of $44,000 proved to be too much for anyone to bite. Now if it was a twin-turbo LSX Jeep, that would likely have been a much different story. But this one just seems to be a warmed-over 350 Chevy small block with a few Edelbrock parts on it. To be fair, it does look the part though.
