No one’s childhood could be complete without LEGOs. The building blocks were essentially the building blocks of my childhood, and yes that pun is intended. I remember graduating to the LEGO Technic sets as a kid, and being able to create some insanely-detailed vehicles. Today, there is a vast culture of LEGO enthusiasts who build awesome constructs with the little plastic pieces, and some even strive to have them accepted by LEGO as production pieces for consumers to purchase.

Below is probably one of, if not the most, iconic off-road vehicles in the Jeep lineup: the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Built by designer Chiho Kim, this LEGO Jeep features a seven-slotted front grille, bold protruding mudguards, a beautifully curved hood with clearly stamped letters, and rounded top frames. It even has a fire extinguisher and removable top.

This build recently popped up on LEGO’s crowdsourced “Ideas” site, a place where builders can submit their own designs, get real feedback, and even get entered into production — if there’s enough support.

Head on over to the LEGO Ideas page, and maybe you too can build the backyard-conquering Jeep of your dreams.
