The “Jeep Wave” is Still Alive and Well…Sort Of
The “Jeep Wave” is still around…but it now comes in two forms: the traditional gesture and a customer support program through Jeep.
When Jeep produced the first XJ Cherokee in the 1980s, it simultaneously created a unibody vehicle, an off-road-capable SUV…and future diehards.
Given that Jeeps can go anywhere, you can be out in one for quite a while. Several hours of romping around in the wilderness can work up quite an appetite.
The latest recall, in what seems to have now become a normal mode of operations in the car industry, includes 75,000 Jeep Cherokees from the model year 2015.
Ironically, despite how good Jeeps are at going up steep grades and how many of them are being sold these days, the brand is going downhill. Why? It’s picking up speed and nothing is stopping it, not even poor quality scores – that’s why.
