How-To Tuesday: Extra JK Storage

Let’s start by getting this out of the way: the above picture is not the only storage option on your JK. So for all of you who think the Wrangler is just a box with four big tires that you can remove the doors and top on, well, you’re wrong. Now, that being said, without getting into some aftermarket products, or customization on your end at home, your storage options can be limited. Well, this isn’t a Grand Cherokee!

This week’s How-To Tuesday article goes into a step-by-step process of finding a non-mainstream way to add a touch of storage to your JK. I’m not going to sit here and say the option that’s worked through in the article is the most amazing storage solution out there, but it certainly could be quite handy. Particularly for those of you who like to avoid the paved portion of this world, and wade into water and other semi-liquid environments.

By contrast, the back of this JK looks great. The lockable storage options with the color-matching fabric — I mean, who wouldn’t like to have this available to them? The thing is, this type of option is considerably more expensive than the one described in the article; and likely not water-tight. There are probably hundreds of aftermarket storage ideas you can find for your Jeep, but not each one will be the perfect fit for your personal needs.

What storage features have you built into your JK? What about the storage options you’ve seen from others and would like to emulate on your ride? Let us know what you’ve come up with, and even what you would like to see made for the JK.
