Would You Buy This Hybrid Water Ride?
There’s never been a real shortage of cool stuff to hook up to your Jeep for a weekend retreat. But we’ve never quite stumbled on something as creative as this for those camping trips up to the lake.
Then again, maybe “strange” is a better word.
Dubbed as the Sealander Hybrid, this odd looking contraption functions much like a boat on the water, but in a more accessible way for taking in those cool ocean breezes, as highlighted in the DW news clip below. The contraption, created by Daniel Straub of Germany, seats two while doubling as a water cruiser and an open-road compact caravan.
Straub says the capsule, which starts at around $15,000 Euros, has been known to garner a few stares around the marina. He’s hoping that the look will spark interest in other places outside of Germany, where he’s already sold a handful of the contraptions.
