Chances are, if you own a Wrangler you probably have no plans of giving it up. That is, unless you plan on trading it in for another Jeep.

Wranglers just aren’t the kind of vehicles that people typically swap out for another car. Once you’ve owned one of the Jeeps, you’re typically hooked, which probably explains why the resale value on the vehicles remains so high.

According to Kelley Blue Book, a new Wrangler will retain 66 percent of its sticker price three years after the purchase, and 55 percent after five years. The industry average for 2016 vehicles is about 35 percent after five years.

Overall, the Wrangler came in fifth place in Kelley‘s 2016 Best Resale Value Awards, slightly down from its second place posting last year. But it’s still impressive for a vehicle that has a starting price of around $24,000.
