Wrangler Unlimited Contends for Greatest Survival Vehicle

Ah, another comparison between the Jeep Wrangler and a few wishful contenders.

I always find it pretty telling when you come across some kind of story centered around the idea of ” best SUVs,” because you just know that a Jeep will be somewhere in the mix.

This latest comparison was performed by Motor Trend and it pits a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon up against a Mercedes-Benz G550 and a Toyota Land Cruiser. Not exactly sure if we would have picked a Land Cruiser to test against the Jeep, but it certainly isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Mercedes’ G-Wagon compared to a Wrangler.

What’s really interesting is that we thought we had a pretty good idea of how this would play out, especially when we read that the goal was to narrow down which of the three utility vehicles would be best for surviving the apocalypse.

However, we think most here might have some serious issues with the outcome in the Motor Trend story, as our favored SUV somehow came in second.
