I'm debating this. Ran Gold Mtn in January for my birthday, was planning to do JB in all the snow but got tired of watching a guy with OPEN DIFFS slide around. Turned around and headed out. Never done Holcomb so I'd have to do that, and I've seen photos of Motino... Looks like a good bit of nasty fun.

Mottino is a great trail, nothing real hard about it, but it's one of my favorite.

I'm signed up for Gold Mountian Friday night and Larry's (PSC) run Saturday morning. Not positive I will make the GM run, I might back out of that one even though I love GM and have never done it at night yet. The crazy part is I might have to leave right after the BBQ to head home so I can get packed up and leave for the Rubicon on Sunday...

Love BBFF!!! Good times for all!!!

Hey guys I'm new to all this and was wondering how I should go about this. Is there a club in SoCal that I could possibly head up with and second what's it like as far as sleeping. Camp ground or just pick yourself a spot in the dirt. Thanks for the help!

BBFF was two weeks ago. It's every year on Father's day weekend. Check it out next year!

You can still go up to Big Bear and enjoy the trails. Hit up the Discovery Center and get some maps and ask the people working where to go. Lots of easy to rough trails.
