Thumbs up Pullin' the BIG PIG..

Okay here's one.

I've got a 27.5' Bayliner Cabin Cruiser on a 3 axle trailer... Thinking all together she weighs about 10K.

I know I can't hit the interstate, that's a given...

I've pulled it around the block, toungue weight is not bad..

(2 dr JK, WIDE KM2 35s, Banks headers and cat back)

I have it in storage a half a mile form the boat ramp...

Any thoughts on launching and.... pulling out on a concrete ramp, in four low, locked front and rear??

Has any one attempted similar?

Post Don't

How far into the water will you have to back down before the boat floats off the trailer? Even though it's "only" a half mile to the ramp, what's the traffic ? Just because you can move it,should you ? Can you stop it ? Your liability is huge, why risk it. Get someone with a proper tow vehicle to do the honors...

I've seen people with large boats have issues due to wet tires/steep ramps. then couple that with a light vehicle, it could be trouble

No traffic down a private road...I'd probably do it.

I launch our 3,500# 19' long 96" beam ski boat with zero problems. This is backing out into the lake almost 50yards in mud and sand.

I'dnprobably equate this to 10k lbs on an all concrete ramp.

Oh, I launch and recover no problem. Launch is always easy.

First time you try it, I'd have another vehicle you can use a strap to help you get the extra "umph" if need be. I don't think you will though.

Keep in mind a F-150 weighs right at 5,000lbs.

Only about 100 or so different from an unlimited.

Foreign JKs are rated to tow more.

Just read closer and OP has 2-door....I'd be a bit worried with not much weight on front axle. What is the tongue weight? It should be about 750+lbs?

Try it, have some one with a strap to bail you out.

Been there done that trying to launch our boat with the wife's minivan.

Default just dont

with a 2dr you are rated at 1500 pounds to tow. compare that to what you are considering towing. now use your common sense to make a decision

If you do end up doing this, please take pictures

That's a lot of boat back there

I personally wouldn't do it, but to each his own

Here ya go.. Not concerned about the half mile, or traffic. Trailer has new good working brakes..for the down hill.. I will have doors and hard top on also.
Back tires will be in the water on the pull out and the toungue weight is about 600-625 lbs..
I think the launch would'nt be bad. Maybe I could get "BUBBA" to sit on my front bumper for the tug out....
