Hey they're Morimoto Sealed 7s from The Retrofit Source. I actually started a thread about them because I was so happy with them after my Truck Lites lol

YO!
Hey all. New to the Jeep world, just picked up a Tank colored JKU Rocky Ridge Phantom in Nassau County. What a beast. A few stupid questions/thoughts:
- Where is a good place on LI to go off roading? Is there even one? To be clear, I have two small kids and am looking for something very mild to do with the whole family. Anywhere we could go?
- Similarly, where's the closest campground we could drive to and set up shop in and around the Jeep? Nothing too remote, but remote enough that we have some mountains and views and get the hell away from here. Do I have to go to the Catskills etc., or is there something good closer?
- You guys wear front license plates? The armored bumper on this thing doesn't really lend well to one, I guess I'll have to find some kind of speciality license plate bracket.
Hope to see y'all on the road.

for the state permit you just need to be a resident of New York State. For the Suffolk county beach permit Suffolk County residents get it cheaper($93), but non-residents can get one for $225. Assuming you're not from the Island the NY State permit will probably be best for you anyway because the furthest west county beach access is Smiths Point Park which is a solid 30-40 minutes east of the furthest west state accesses(Democrat Point and Sore Thumb).

Can someone break down for us the various beaches on LI that allow Jeeps on them, and what permits are required for each? Anything a total newbie needs to know before looking into this? I'm in Nassau county but wouldn't mind a drive further east, would love to find a beach we can drive our onto and set up shop, spend a day with the family, maybe even camp overnight. Anything like that available?? Thanks!
