2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport - premature down shifting
My Jeep Wrangler , 3.8L, auto transmission, down shifts prematurely on the slightest incline. Any insight on this issue and/or a solution would be appreciated.

I have a 2010 JKU auto as well, with 3:73 gears. I suspect that what you're describing is the nature of the beast. Mine also downshifts on slight inclines, and can struggle to stay in 4th on the highway in a strong headwind. I think it's the gearing in the transmission thats the issue, but that's just my opinion.

Downshifts
What I was describing was my 2010 JKU downshifting from 4th to 3rd at highway speeds on relatively gentle inclines or while heading into a very strong headwind.
