Default Looking at purchising this jeep...is this rust normal on the under belly???

I'm seriously looking at this jeep. However there is rust on the drive shaft, transfer case and numerous other spots on under belly. The rest of the Jeep appears clean. My question is this normal or a big deal??? Any input is appreciated!!

Thanks,
John

None of the rust/discoloration I see in those pics would bother me. However, I would get all the details you can on the mods. For example: brand names, instal dates, were they professionally installed or not, etc.

Where you are at yes. I think the driveshafts come out of the factory with rust on them.

Looks like it was not wheeled hard to me but I could be wrong.... There are not dents on the skids and no Claw marks on the skids either.... The driveshafts are normal.... they all look like that.

I would ask the person who owns it if they liked to drive on the beach. It looks like the jeep is clean and wasn't used for offroading much so maybe he liked the beach. Salt water will cause rust and the rust is underneath so it would make sense. Nice jeep though!

Considering the modifications that Jeep has, that underside is incredibly clean.
