That's where my black lab like to ride to. She would drive if I would let her.

DId I mention that we now have a new passenger in our JKU ? Meet Joy Kyssah (did anyone spot the JoKe in her name ? ), born April 9th, 2014 - and you already knew Friday Seypah (born July 28th, 2010)

Mine shed so they usually ride in the kennel. Or if they are out the little one lays behind my neck across my shoulders

Mine won't stay put.
Front seat
Backseat left or right
Rear cargo
propped on the center console
Head out whichever window has the best wind

So when I have my dog with me,
The top is on the Jeep hard or soft
Since I run a spider webshade
I can either pull the freedom tops
Or fold back the sun rider
If the dog is coming along,
No doorless
no half doors
No Window open more the 1/3
No top off, or down

Mine rides where there is an open seat. She rides shotgun if its just us, back seat if my GF is with me, cargo is the kids are with me.

She has her harness and loves riding doorless. Never tries to get out

Try OttoStep DOT com - they are based in Albany (Oregon), and have a great product if you have a 2" hitch receiver. I must admit I slightky tweaked ours, and added a U-ring at its end, so that I can hook it to a clamp, and fasten it to a cross bar in the trunk. Look at the left side of the picture, you'll see the shiny ring and the position I decided upon for easy storage.
