Without doubt: Colt and Sig. After shooting the top on the list (kimber???) I went and bought a Sig 1911 only because no one has stock of a Colt in my area. Like the Sig very much...no regrets.

Crimson carry II I own several 1911 bought this one brand new brought it home field stripped it and removed the packing grease and re oiled with ezoxs (sp?) it's the best gun oil on the market placed it in my humidity controlled safe, a week later I took it out to shoot it, as I was checking it over prior to firing I noticed the barrel had already pitted and rusted! I was infuriated. Called kimber who had notoriously lousy customer service they said they were aware of the issue but it did not effect the performance as such it was not warrantied. Ugh that was two years ago and I'm still mad! Google it there are pages and pages of complaints!
