2005 jeep liberty..
So i am buying the wife new winter tires and i heard 245/70/16 is the biggest you can fit.. because it rubs.. but with fender trimming up front and bumper trimming can 245/75/16 fit?
If anyone here owns a liberty thatt is.. lol

245 70 16 is the biggest you can fit with no lift. On stock wheels you might rub at full lock. At least mine did before I bought cragar wheels. The rubbing isn't bad all.
You can add a Daystar lift and go with the bigger tires. No trimming needed.

Just bought a 2005 liberty 4x4 and two things. The front makes a squeaking sound when you slightly move the steering back and forth but not if you move it the full distance. Second weirdness is that the back end is raised up like it had a lift kit but it has none...but looks like someone put in new shocks. Could longer shocks do that? Besides the look does it hurt anything?

No, it won't really hurt anything, being a bit higher in the rear. Does it have a tow hitch? Perhaps it does have a small lift, because it was a tow vehicle? Longer shocks will not raise the height at all. As for the squeak in the front end....more than likely, it needs ball joints. Probably doesn't squeak at all when it rains, huh?

Yes it has a tow hitch. I measured the shocks and they seem too long for the jeep. If I put in regular oem shocks will it settle down or is it a function of the springs and they would need to be replaced too?
