2 ?'s .. before and after wheeling trip today.
Okay so first ....
at 40 mph to 45 .. it was pulling back and forth and wobbly? What the heck? My little brother was driving it and thats the best he could describe it ...
Second .. after a day of wheeling .. when we shouldn't have with the XJ .. its dead.
First ... its was steaming really bad, like when you go through a puddle and steam pours out for a minute well it was non stop and we thought it was just steam cause it was below freezing and snowy .... well after going through a few puddles ... it starting reving high then low, thinking it was somewater that got under the distributor cap ...
well we headed out .. and then it just died .. we tried starting it .. it would turn over and try to start .. but spit black smoke out of the exhaust and air filter intake ... after a few trys .. it made a huge bang .. like a reuger went off .... like LOUD! It made a dodge driving by stop ... yah .. so .. it didn't even turn over after that .... or make any sounds ..
none the less .. I had to drive to town 20 minutes away, get tow straps and we had ot pulll it back to the staging area at the park. Well .. we got it pulled to a stop and asked these people to watch it over night, well they told us to move it next ot their camper ... it wouldn't evn move afer we got it in that spot .. and it was in neutral. it was like locked in park.
Soooo ....
anyone have any ideas whats going on??? We can't tow it home tommorow. We have to go down/up a huge hill to get there and home ... and the XJ has hardly any brakes so thats outta the picture ... it won't move so thats also screwed too ... so how do we get it home? A tow truck?
Its snowy and the hill will be iced over by morning and its ahuge hill takes about 5 minutes to get up ... 45 * about the whole way up (pretty close at least)
Am I screwed ?????
