Default Considering an XJ

I'm thinking about getting rid of my JK for something cheaper with no car payment. The more I look at XJ's the more I want one. I'm considering the 96-01.

What should I look out for when I start looking at them?

I've found everything listed above except for the value aspect. Every one here is overpriced.

I have had my 12 JK for about a year now, and I am thinking about going back to my 98 XJ. Both are are base models, but the XJ has better torque, gas mileage, and none of the nanny electronic garbage. Both are paid for, but the XJ does beast mode off road so much better. Both have 2.5" lifts

Find one with a 4.0L, don't worry if it leaks oil (there pretty much supposed to!) and if it's lifted, check for bump steer problems.

Get a 2 door XJ!
Usually around here you have to make sure the floors aren't rusted out. A lot of them are
