Default Accessory pricing

I'm new to this jeep thing; I recently purchased a mesh / summer top and a jeep cab cover with door flaps. I'm purposely not naming the brand because I don't want this to turn into a cheer/jeer leader for any specific company. They both cost about $100.00. I like them mesh top (there's not too much to it) it is good quality and I would suggest it to someone long for a similar top. I just put the cab cover on and I am very impressed with the quality, the interior of the top, how it fastens, the thickness of the top. My point, is it normal (in the Jeep accessory market) for an item that seems very simple to cost just about the same as a product that clearly has more time and material in making it?

Supply and demand. Some parts will have 5% profit margin, some will have 85%.
