Looking for trails in NC
I am looking for some trails to ride. There are great trails west of here but not exactly local. I live in NC and north of Raleigh. If anyone knows of anywhere please let me know.

I was honestly disappointed in uwharrie
I've done every trail in a stock rubicon.
Daniel trail is the hardest and I did it at the beginning of the season with no issue but it gets harder and harder as the season progresses. I'm on 35s now and can do 3/4 of the terrain out there in 2wd you come up to an obstacle put it in 4wd for 20 feet and back to 2wd again. Don't get me wrong wheeling is always fun and it's a great place to learn but it's nothing like the west coast, CO, NM, UT....

URE has really gotten tame over the past 5 or so years but is still decent for those who do just a few wheeling trips a year. My last visit was October last year and I had no problems getting around in my totally stock 2013 Rubicon unlimited. There is also Brown Mountain which is a relatively mild trail ride but can still be enjoyable. I have heard mention of a place in the same area as Brown Mountain known as richland road. I have heard arguments in regards to it being a legal offroading location but many argue it is perfectly legal provided you dont wander off the actual road itself. Other than that I have been to the OBX for beach driving and while that is fun it can get old since there is no challenge involved. Many of the guys I know tend to venture out of state for more of the challenging off road parks and trails.
