60 in a couple months. Got (or at least the USMC said it was mine to maintain)my first Jeep (M151) in '73. Got the next 100 or so in '77 when I went to the maintenance shop for 5 yrs. (then I screwed up and became an officer and they wouldn't let me drive) So, when I retired in '95 I bought a'92 YJ, then a '98 TJ. Had to sell both due to life's circumstances. Finally was able to get my '13 JK sport in Jan. I have owned several vehicles during my driving life; from 7 Camaros to a Corvette convertible to 4 Vegas and a couple trucks and throw in some Impalas, Cavaliers, and even a '82 Escort. But of all of them the Jeeps were the most fun to drive. I'm in the planning phase for how I'm actually going to use it and have bought a few of the parts already. I look forward to many many miles in this one and growing old together.

45 in one week. I just got tired of muscle cars. wanted something "offroady" i looked at FJs, xterras, tacomas but what is more "off road" than a jeep. My brother bought one so I had to have one too.
It's nice to get in and go, rather than wait for the oil temp to come up while the pungent exhaust makes your clothes smell like gasoline. Try getting all your camping gear into a trans am. not easy
Only had it a month and love it

Just turned 51 this past Sept 10th and Red turned 56 This past Sept 23rd.. Then been married for 20 years.. and did the 20 Years in 10 Days trip out to Colorado.. was amazing.. yet we will be paying for that trip in more ways than one.
What's really alarming here, Is on my fathers side of the family.. there is something sort of like Hip dysplasia for humans.. and after I was hit by a car doesn't help matters.. So getting into the jeep is harder these days.. and yet we decide to install a lift kit also.. Hince side steps will be needed soon there after.
If one looks at me,, I don't look all that old.. But I do have allot of grey hair.. went total grey before I was 30..

Over The Hill?..
I've attempted to create an "over the hill" community.. and start posting.. Yet there is a limit as to how long the post can be.. and my post tend to drag on further than this limit.. Therefore I've removed the community.
