I was only able to find one CB that is 1 DIN in size (the Cobra 18WX). I ordered the new head unit and a double DIN dash trim from Crutchfield. The mounting was straight forward but you will need to remove the dash bar (the same piece the double DIN radio install state).
Would you say that the space in the dash was pretty much full when you put these two in? I have a Uniden PC68LTW CB that I want to install w/a single din cd player and am trying to figure out if they will fit together. The dimensions of my CB are 12.8 x 11.2 x 3 inches ; 5 pounds. Any idea if this would work?

Great looking install. I wanted to go with a double DIN NAV unit but after seeing this might go with the single DIN with flip out monitor instead so that I can mount my CB in the dash.

Thanks!
It only shows single DIN because in order to mount a double DIN, you have to cut a piece out of the metal dash support because your typical aftermarket stereo is deeper than the factory unit. There is a good write-up on here someplace. If you need a link, I can find it for you later.

Real nice setup... I was also thinking of doing a double din nav unit, but I'll have to reconsider. Thanks for the post!

The DIN size (single) is 7" x 2". The Cobra 18 is 1.88" according to their specs.
