Just installed a Cobra 19DX lV in our 14 Wrangler 2 door. Ran power to the battery. Mounted the unit just below the glove box over towards the center console. Mounted an external speaker behind the driver seat, mounted using a spacer and longer bolt to the top roll bar. Using a Firestik 4' in red. Need to find someone local that has a SWR meter! If not, I will buy one. Is the Radio Shack one worthwhile?
