Default Midland 75-822 Antenna Mount

Hey folks looking for some advice here. I just purchased the above CB for the Jeep it come with a mountable antenna and I was wondering the best place to locate it. I was thinking cowl mount might be best but could fashion something for the 3rd brake light myself. Ideas and input much appreciated.

Here is my long debate on which CB to buy and mounting of it. I bought the same Cb and mounted the antenna to the third brake light. Works great. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-c...eld-cb-295713/

I'm in Schuylkill Co. About 10 minutes from Rausch Creek. Or Pottsville would be the closest city. If you have any other questions about my set up or get out this way to ride let me know.

Mines not a fire stick either... Couldn't finds one local either. I went to the local truck stop and asked a trucker, he handed me the one I have on which I think is made by Francis??? It works so I'm happy!

I was given a window mount kit. RX is great but I can't tune for SWR. I really don't wanna run the magnet mount, hindsight 20/20! I'm going to pick up a 3' firestick tonight from a truck stop an hour away. Hopefully I can get this thing squared away soon.

I struggled with mine at first too. Once I got the antenna all tightened down and made sure it was done correctly I ran my ground and was close so I ran a second ground an tightened everything up and swr readings were good... Good luck! If you are close you may be able to tune it with the firestick. Also I made my mount but they can be bought for around $20 I think if you reLly don't wanna run the magnet mount.
