Mounting compact CB to a storage shelf?

Mounting compact CB to a storage shelf?
Anyone ever tried mounting a compact CB radio such as the PRO520XL onto the Misch 4x4 Products Overhead Shelf? I cant' get a good read on it's size but it's made of plastic and seems like it would be a nice way to stash the radio up and out of the way.

Don't know about the overhead shelf, but I have a radio mounted to an ARR bar. It leaves just a little space between the top of the radio and the roof and the sun visor folds up and touches the bottom of the radio. Unless you had a very small CB, I'd think you'd have to cut into that shelf to make it fit.
