Installed new 18 ft Firering and grounding wire from lower bolt on antenna mount to tire carrier bolt. (Dremel off the paint/powder coat &radic
and now at 1.4/1.5. Thanks to Firestik for good service/free replacement under warranty

I also ground off the powder coating from mount and tire carrier. I also replaced the powder coated tire carrier bolts with stainless steel. I'm at 1.5 swr also. I've been thinking about running a ground strap from antenna mount to the jeep tub..
