question on Cobra 29lx??
Hey all
I just installed Cobra 29lx, 3' Firestik firefly, Firestik ring mount coax., HD spring and front Fender
mount. In radio check mode, on second test when I key mike I get a fail. From what I gather it is
Telling me I don't have enough output power. The antenna test passes. Just not enough power output.
I have radio wired to connection behind lower dash 12v power outlet. Do I need to wire directly to battery
To fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

question on Cobra 29lx??
Do you have access to a SWR meter?
I have seen a few of those radios give that failure for high SWR, usually due to poor antenna ground.
