Excited to see what happens here. Not HAM yet but I'd like to be someday. Even bought a study book for the test. I've got a little cobra CB in the Jeep. Wouldn't mind having a mobile GMRS option as well.

Best advice is to just study for the tech exam and pay the 15 buck or so that the VE charges. You'll be way better off with a ham license than with a GMRS license.
