Default 430N backup camera problems with a 2015 JKU Rubicon

I was also able to get my 430N flashed by my dealership for no cost.

However, I've run into a problem where, while I get the 'Check Surroundings' warning message, all I can see on the display is a black screen.

I've tried two different cameras, with the same result.

Any help or input on how to solve this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Asinine, can you post the part numbers for your $45 purchase? I am interested in this mod for this cheap!

Not sure which camera you are using. I went through a couple of the cheap Ginos that were basically new and DOA. I was able to use an old digital camcorder, which obviously runs off a battery pack, to at least get an image on screen and check my video wiring integrity and verify dealer headunit flash took. Once that was confirmed I knew the problem was on the camera end. The wires on the cheaper cams are very fragile easy to damage small gauge wires, So even the act of installing can mess them up if you arent very careful. I opted to buy a higher quality name brand camera and it worked right since install.

So what camera did you end up using?
