Default AEV Tire carrier third brake light

I am installing an AEV tire carrier and was wondering for those using it what third brake light set ups are in use. I like the look of the stock light but dont think I can use it with this carrier. Anyone have info on one that looks like the stock light that works?

Thanks,

a quick Bing search and I found this.

Not sure if this is your carrier.

This is my temp solution until i get the fuel carrier. it's basically a red led marker light from an auto parts store. i just have it zip tied for now. Made it through state inspection with no questions.

I bought the fuel caddy with mine. Is there a light solution using the fuel caddy?

You will have to fabricate a bracket.

I liked the rear light as well, but of course you lose it with the AEV bumper and tire carrier. After searching around online, I ended up going with these since they looked clean. They are plenty bright, and look great!

I like the look of that. How hard was it to wire in to the factory wiring?

It's super easy to do since the wiring is already there. It piggybacks off of the original brake light. The whole install took less than 45 minutes.

I made a bracket using some angled aluminum from home depot. I cut the light from the stock bracket and bolted it to the new bracket. I had to add a little extra wire to the stock light harness. I will take a picture when I get a chance.

I bought the Delta kit as well and wish I hadn't. You can buy the same LED's from an American company on eBay for $12 shipped. That leaves you $26 for wiring loom and quick disconnect pieces.

To your question on the aev w/ fuel caddy- it looks like all of their bumpers have that post sticking above the tire. You could do the LED lug nuts and just put them into a piece of 4*4" aluminum bent in half and bolted to the top. I've got a similar solution working on my tire carrier because removing the lug nut lights to rotate tires gets old after you do a couple rotations.

You could do something very similar to this on top of your post.
