I updated a few weeks ago. I have a 2008, there were quite a few changes. But noticed the TD dank that replaced the old BP gas station is not listed, along with a bank location with that merged with another bank and changed names. The old name is still there. These few changes happened about 2 years ago. This shows that the update is at least 2 years old. Still an improvement to the current map. It does come with the RER update of version 2.404.

Default Debating....

I've been debating the update.. I just cant justify paying the $$ especially since my iPhone works perfectly. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of the music volume lowering while the directions are being read allowed and then returning to normal levels.... Is the update only to the maps? or does it update the entire operating system of the head unit?

Last year I received the Update discs as a Christmas present. As others posted.... You need to make sure you follow the instructions TO THE LETTER and keep your engine running while loading the update. The update takes more than 90 minutes and progresses slowly. For me there was quite a difference in the mapping and software. My 2011 has a radio from a 2010 (received FREE as a take off).

is the search feature improved? The thing I hate about the 730 FHR, if you type it exactly, the destination doesn't populate. And, even when I do type it exactly, it populates the wrong location. My home state is set correctly and it will literally show a store or restaurant 300, 500, 900 miles away. POS....

I just picked up a 730n RHR yesterday? What's different about rhr? Would same map updates work or be worth it? It's a 2011 radio
