Did you keep the Hertz mid-bass speaker or is this a tweeter replacement only?

Why the multiple round holes in the plexiglass base?

Is your amp rack inside the storage area in the back?

This is really nice fabrication work, keep it up!
Thanks man!

I moved the tweeter to the dash in an attempt to fix the issues I was having with the windows down - the center would wander and the sound would get washed out, especially the highs. Putting the tweeters more on axis has helped tremendously with those issues. Plus, the Milles are a much brighter tweeter and with the in-dash placement the reflections were hurting the imaging as well.
I have often thought about doing a 3way, but for now I am quite happy with the sound as a 2way with rear fill.
I have actually been running Morel's Hybrid MW6 midbass for a while now...
These Morel tweeters are very laid back and smooth. With only the slightest EQing they sound amazing!
Actually, the holes are not in the plexiglass itself, but just in the vinyl I wrapped them in, to allow light through (see pics).
The amp rack is on top of the Tuffy security cover, though I did put a cover over it to not attract to much attention...

Well, as usual I just can't leave well enough alone... I decided with all the aluminum in the cab, I would like the tweeters to be in aluminum pods...

So I ordered these from Germany, they are custom made for the Morel MT250s...

I always hear people say, "you can't have good sound in a jeep". Thanks for demonstrating that this is a myth. With the right amount of knowledge and the proper equipment, a shopping cart can be made to have the best sound ever. I like the pods. Those are sick.

I got the pods installed, really happy with them. Interestingly, aimed as they are the stage depth is noticeably better.
