Default Brake Light Wire Gauge
Anyone know what gauge wire the brake light wires are? Tapping into them with some Posi-Taps for a 3rd brake light.

From looking at it I would say 18, maybe 16. I tapped the reverse wires for a set of LED aux backup lights and the tail light wire for a license plate light on my third brake light.

The left stop/turn, right stop/turn, and 3rd brake light wires are 18awg.

Pretty good eyes you have there.

Even after all these years as a mechanic, I hate to admit it, but I often play musical wrenches when it comes to picking the correct size wrench from the drawer.
