Default engine temp gauge not working

I recently purchased a used 2012 JK and the engine temp gauge is not working. It is permanently in the far right position. It doesn't move at all. The engine temp isn't overheating, and everything else works great, but the dealer and myself can't figure out what the problem is. The dealer said that the temp sensor is plugged in. Any help/suggestions will be helpful. Also, I can't seem to pull up any schematics on where the temp sensor is even located on the 3.6 Pentastar engine. Can anyone provide a picture of vivid description of where the sensors are located relevant to this post?

Bump. I can't find an answer anywhere. Hoping a dedicated JK forum would have an answer or two.
