Default Factory Fog Light Switch

Title edit, I mean "fog" light switch.

I'm looking to add an led light bar to my front bumper and since I no longer have fog lights I was wondering if I could connect the new led bar directly to the fog light harness. I figure since the wiring and switch is already there it would make installation easy. What are you thoughts or advice with this?

Thanks

Yes the fog lights turn off when you turn the high beams on.

the fog lights should turn off with the high beams, but that is very easy to change with some tuners like the superchips traildash and I think I read that procal can do it also.

Procal won't override this factory setting. Guess I'll just wire it up with the provided harness.

visibility. Fogs run a broad beam light, lower than the line of sight so the light itself isn't reflected back to the driver. Ever try to drive at night, in dense fog with high beams? That'll explain it.

yes but wouldn't work on high beam mode. You could still wire it separately and use the factory switch. But it will need to be wired seperately.
