Default How i solved my rigid foglight flicker

Ok so have you placed your rigid duallys in your stock fog position using the stock wiring and when they are "off" one or both flicker? Well after researching the forum and Internet I continued to see this as a fix so I went with it.

I purchased a resistor for RadioShack for 2.50

These from lowes for 3.50

Wired it up on my right fog wiring. Only one that flickered when lights are off.

Cleaned ever thing up put some extra tape around everything to keep out the elements and voila everything is solved.

So yes rigid dually LEDs can be ran on the stock switch and wiring. Without flicker.

Hope this helps anyone with similar issues.

Also I thought the resistor may get too hot since it isn't the same wattage as the stock fogs but so far it has not gotten too hot while running the LEDs. When they are off the resistor stays cool.

Great job Huggerls1, I'll add this to my shopping list for the fall. I was going to ask you in the BS thread if they flickered.

When would you get the flicker. I have the same set up. Maybe I never noticed it.

Sorry if I did not clarify. It would flicker/ strobe when the lights were off but the headlights were on or the amber driving lights were on. Also when you park the jeep walking away and hit the lock button it would strobe while the jeep was off for a minute or two.

No problem. Glad it's out there still helping people who've got led fogs.

I installed D2's using my fog light wiring on my 14 JKU. I got the same flicker when I turned the lights off. Installed a 8ohm 2w resistor, but it got way to hot. I ended up using a 100ohm 25w ceramic resistor and it works great and stays nice and cool. Thanks for the great idea.
