So after leaving the battery off and sitting over night. I went back to the jeep and before digging into the problem further I just tried to turn it on then off. What do u know it turned off! I guess it just needed to dry out or something. Problem fixed for now. If the ghost comes back I'll repost. Thanks for the concern guys!

There is no recall. There were tipm issues in 2007 and 2008 models but there was no recall on them. If there is please post the link or copy of the recall notice.

Are we talking about the tire pressure monitor? I too have a 2007 without the nanny. The tire pressure monitors came out in 2008 unless you have a late model year build when jeep may have done an assembly line switch. Jeep would have to change computers, receivers for monitors and maybe even the wiring harness. I remember when jeep announced they were going to add the monitors to comply with code for lazy drivers who don't check tire pressure. And I was glad I don't have to deal with them. That announcement was around October in 2007 if memory serves. My jeep was born in April and adopted in May of 07.

Disconnecting the battery just means your alternator is working properly..
If I had to guess(which that's all this is lol) I would say its because your ignition got wet and doesn't know you took your key out.. Does it start fine?
