Default JL Stealthbox - the ones that mount above rear wheel wells

Hi

I've read some reviews for the model that goes in the rear cargo area of the JKU - but not the ones that go above the right and/or left rear wheel wells. Not sure if the site will let me post links but I'll try:

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited '07-Up - JL Audio

if not, you can easily find this by googling "jl stealthbox wrangler".

Any thoughts? I'm thinking of doing some in-jeep camping and the few extra inches of rear cargo space I could recapture through removing the rear Alpine sub is appealing. If anyone has tried - did you have both or just one? (and if just one - which one)

Thanks!

JB

If you want extra space in the rear, relocate your sub under the driver or passenger seat. Fits a 10" shallow sub and sounds amazing.

It looks good but I have the kicker stealthbox with an 8 inch powered box. Sounds great and adds the little bump the system needs.

Thanks for posting this Wranger, here's a couple more views from my Jeep. These are actually stealth. Click image for larger version

I bought these boxes from Matt and they sound great. I had the stealthbox in my 2012, but went with Matt's in my 2015. You feel Matt's more b/c they're right under the seat, but I think the JL gave deeper bass. 2-10's as opposed to one 13". Both are great. JL is more expensive, but slightly easier to install. Both are hard to steal, Matt's don't take any space up though.

You'll be happy with either.

Thanks Matt
